LOW Lodge 8 Fishing Derby

Hello H3 Family, We’re excited to invite 12 H3 members to join us for an Ice Fishing Weekend on Lake of the Woods

from February 21–24, as part of the FOP Lodge 8 Fishing Derby. This will be a full weekend of fishing, camaraderie, and time together on the ice—and we hope you can join us!

Trip Details

• Location: Lake of the Woods
• Dates: Saturday, February 21 – Tuesday, February 24
• Check-in: Saturday, February 21 at 2:00 PM

We’ll check in, then drive out to the ice houses and spend the weekend fishing and staying in ice fishing sleepers.On Monday, February 23, we’ll head into Sportsman’s Lodge for the FOP Lodge 8 banquet

(and hopefully win some prizes!), then head back out to the ice.Checkout: Tuesday morning, February 24.

Ice House Accommodations

• 3people per ice house
• Each house includes:
  • Cooktop
  • LED lights
  • Heater
  • Toilet room

Please note: No running water‍

What to Bring

• Ice fishing gear
• Sleeping bag & pillow
• Warm clothing
• Water, beverages, and food
• Generator (if you have one or want to charge electronics)

New to ice fishing? No problem! H3 has some ice fishing gear available if you’d like to give it a try.

• Ice fishing derby entry fee:
  • $90 if paid before January 15
  • $120 after January 15

Additional OpportunityIf you have an ice house and would be willing to accommodate additional H3 members, please let me know. That may allow us to open this up to more participants.

Participation PriorityPriority will be given to:

• New H3 members
• Members who have not participated in past events
• Those who have given back to H3 through volunteering or by paying it forward monetarily
